Kern Lee is a Korean-American illustrator and recent RISD graduate working out of Providence, RI. Their work is a combination of intricate compositions, colorful characters, and pop stylings, regurgitating familiar archetypes in fresh new ways--cartoons, superheroes, monsters, you name it! This allows them to invoke sensations of the familiar and the alien simultaneously, something which resonates with their upbringing as a third-culture kid. When they aren’t drawing, Kern enjoys playing Dance Dance Revolution, cooking, and watching tokusatsu movies.
